Jordanian cucumbers
The difficult thing about living in a world of transliterated signs is the confusion that sometimes arises from variant spellings. Signs for the University vary (Gamia al-Urdunia, Jaami'a al-'urduniyya, Ja'amiya al-urdoniyya), but that's understandable. Even western stores like Safeway mess up too - we bought "yallow bananas" a few days ago.
Sometimes, however, they mess up completely - understandable for a different language.
